Penn Yan Police arrested a Penn Yan man on an active Superior Court warrant issued out of Yates County Court.
Police say 24-year-old Michael J. Hand Jr. was located at a local business and taken into custody without incident.
Hand was then transported to the Yates County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Yates County Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
