A Penn Yan mom is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child after a young toddler was spotted running alone on McKinley Avenue.
While police were investigating a separate incident, they were notified by bystanders of the toddler. Officers looked into the matter and found that April Saylor had allegedly failed to properly supervise the child and the toddler left their home through the back door.
Saylor was released on an appearance ticket for Penn Yan Village Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
