A Penn Yan man is facing several traffic charges after being stopped by police in the village.
According to the Penn Yan Police Department, 25-year-old Austin Atkinson was pulled over on Seneca Street after officers noticed he was driving with a suspended New York State registration.
Police say Atkinson also did not have a valid driver’s license and was found to be operating without insurance.
He was cited for operating while registration suspended, operating without insurance, and unlicensed operation.
Atkinson was released on traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
