A Penn Yan man was arrested by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday on harassment, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a child charges.
On Thursday, deputies responded to a home on Route 14 in the town of Torrey for a juvenile complaint. An investigation revealed there was a domestic incident. Thomas McCann allegedly subjected a juvenile to unwanted physical contact and damaged property within the house in the town of Torrey.
Following his arrest, the 35-year-old McCann was transported to the Yates County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
