An early morning traffic stop in Ontario County turned up what sheriff’s deputies called a large quantity of controlled substances and resulted in the arrest of a Penn Yan man.
As a result of the traffic stop on State Route 332, Rodney Christensen was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with the intent to sell, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree with the intent to sell.
The 39-year-old Christensen was released on appearance tickets for Canandaigua Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
