A two-car accident in Wayne County Friday night resulted in the arrest of a Penn Yan man.
David Diguardi was reportedly traveling east on Paddy Lane in the town of Ontario when his car left the road and collided with another vehicle that was parked off of the road. An investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department determined Diguardi had allegedly been driving his car in an intoxicated condition.
Diguardi was brought to the Sheriff’s Office following his arrest and voluntarily submitted to a chemical test that determined his BAC to be .08%. Diguardi was charged with felony DWI due to having been convicted of DWI within the past ten years, DWI with a BAC of .08% or greater, aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from lane unsafely, and driving without a seatbelt.
Diguardi will appear in Ontario Town Court next month to answer the charges.
