A traffic stop in the village of Penn Yan resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old resident on DWI charges.
According to Penn Yan Police, during the traffic stop, Jordan Youngs displayed signs of intoxication. The 29-year-old refused standardized field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a chemical test.
Youngs was arrested on DWI Common Law, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Consumption of Alcohol in a vehicle and unlicensed operator charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
