A Penn Yan man was charged with driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the Yates County village.
Thomas Godbee was stopped by Penn Yan Police after he was spotted driving through a red light on Elm Street. A license check revealed his driving privileges had been allegedly suspended.
Godbee was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed for passing a solid red signal. He will appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
