On Tuesday, February 24, Vincent Scarpechi, age 64, of Penn Yan, was arrested by the Penn Yan Police Department following a trespass complaint at a local apartment complex.
The arrest stems from an initial report received by officers on January 30. Witnesses allegedly observed Scarpechi on the property after he had been previously trespassed from the location. Staff members at the complex had been advised to contact authorities if he returned.
Scarpechi was issued a criminal summons for Trespass and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
