A Penn Yan man was taken into custody this week on a parole violation warrant.
29-year-old Tucker Parmelee was arrested by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Parole Division with assistance from the Penn Yan Police Department.
Following his arrest, Parmelee was transported to the Yates County Jail, where he was being held pending a court hearing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
