Penn Yan Man Arrested for Driving on a Suspended License

Penn Yan Police arrested a Penn Yan man following a traffic stop in the village.

A registration check of the vehicle Shane Hanes was driving allegedly revealed his New York State operating privileges to be suspended. A traffic stop was initiated and Hanes was issued a traffic ticket.

Hanes was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and will answer the charge in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
