Police arrested a Penn Yan man during the early morning hours of Saturday after responding to a report fight/argument on the Main Street Bridge.
An investigation determined that during the incident, 24-year-old Tyler Hurlbert allegedly damaged the mirror of a car while an infant child was inside. He was also found to be in violation of an order of protection that had been issued in Yates County Family Court.
Hurlburt was charged with criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of criminal contempt.
Hurlburt was released to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
