The investigation into a complaint made by a Penn Yan business resulted in the arrest of a Penn Yan man.
Cody Jackson is accused of stealing a bottle of liquor from the business and fleeing on foot. Jackson was located nearby and placed under arrest by Penn Yan Police.
The 27-year-old was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket for Penn Yan Village Court
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
