An assault that occurred Monday in the village of Penn Yan resulted in the arrest of a 47-year-old Penn Yan man.
James Greene is accused of allegedly shoving another person to the ground and then striking the victim in the eye causing bruising and swelling.
Greene was charged with assault and harassment before being taken to the Yates County Jail for arraignment.
