The driver involved in a one-car accident Monday night in the area of Sutton and County House roads in Yates County was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for their injuries.
An investigation by the sheriff’s office revealed that 20-year-old Quintravien Morris, of Penfield, was driving north on Sutton Road when they failed to stop at the stop sign at County House Road. The car left the road and struck livestock fencing and farm equipment. Morris was taken by Penn Yan Ambulance to Rochester for leg and abdominal injuries.
Morris was ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
