SHARE NOW

An Auburn man has been arrested on a felony charge of aggravated family offense following the investigation into an incident near the traffic circle in the area of West Lake Road in the town of Fleming.

Upon arrival, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to determine that there had been a domestic violence incident that had occurred between the female victim and 33-year-old Justin Nwajei. During the investigation, it was determined that Nwajei had allegedly kicked the door to the victim’s residence causing damage to the door. Based on his previous criminal convictions, Nwajei was charged with criminal mischief and aggravated family offense.

Nwajei was sent to Cayuga County Jail without bail following his arraignment. He is also on parole after being released from state prison in December.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
