A Palmyra woman has been charged with perjury.
On Wednesday night, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic dispute between 33-year-old Amanda Bauer and her boyfriend. The initial call stated Bauer used a foldable hunting chair and destroyed her boyfriend’s car windshield. When deputies arrived, Bauer was not on scene. When she came back, Bauer told deputies her boyfriend struck her in the face, causing several contusions above her right eye. Shortly after, Bauer admitted she made that up and her boyfriend never put a hand on her.
Bauer was released on an appearance ticket for Palmyra Town Court.
