Ontario County deputies arrested Kayla Elmore of Palmyra on Thursday for endangering the welfare of a child.
Authorities say the arrest followed a physical altercation inside the Walmart in the Town of Victor that occurred in the presence of a small child. Deputies determined Elmore’s actions created a potential danger to the child’s physical and emotional well-being.
The 36-year-old Elmore was taken into custody and processed at the Eastview Mall substation without incident.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
