Palmyra Man Ticketed Following Two-Car Crash

A Monday afternoon accident at the intersection of State Route 31 and Vienna Road in Palmyra sent a Macedon man to Strong Memorial Hospital.

According to witnesses and evidence at the scene, a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Terry Peters, of Palmyra, was traveling west when he allegedly failed to see a car that was stopped on State Route 31 attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Vienna Road. Peters failed to stop before colliding into the rear end of the stopped car driven at approximately 50 miles per hour.

66-year-old Robert Marriott Marriott was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Peters was not injured as a result of the crash and refused all medical care from EMS personnel on the scene.
