Palmyra Man Charged With DWI After Traffic Stop

SHARE NOW

A Palmyra man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he was caught driving drunk late last week.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says 49-year-old Nathan Goodness was stopped by deputies around 10 p.m. on September 27 on Hogback Hill Road. Deputies say field sobriety tests indicated he was intoxicated. A breath test later showed a blood alcohol content of 0.15 percent, nearly twice the legal limit.

Goodness was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI for having a BAC over 0.08 percent. He was also issued traffic tickets for refusal to take a roadside breath test, unsafe tires, improper bumper, broken windshield glass, and having an open container in the vehicle.

Goodness was released on tickets and is scheduled to appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
