A bizarre incident in Palmyra this week sent residents ducking for cover.
Police say 36-year-old Jonathan Taylor caused a disturbance on Market Street, shouting obscenities and tossing household items—including an eight-foot kayak—from his second-story balcony. No one was seriously hurt, though the kayak narrowly missed a worker nearby.
Taylor, reportedly under the influence, was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct. Taylor was treated for a minor self-inflicted injury before being arraigned at the Wayne County Jail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
