The investigation into a Wednesday afternoon domestic dispute in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of a Palmyra man.
It is alleged that 28-year-old Christopher Kendrick-Negron became physical with the protected party of a Refrain From Order of Protection causing the victim to call 911. During the investigation, Kendrick-Negron was allegedly found to be in possession of two firearms in further violation of his order of protection. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports when questioned about the incident, Kendrick-Negron allegedly signed a false statement with deputies. It’s also alleged the 28-year-old further tampered with evidence trying to conceal a bag of 30-round magazines behind his home while deputies were investigating.
Kendrick-Negron was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, criminal contempt, harassment, unlawful possession of certain ammunition-feeding devices and three counts of criminal contempt.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
