An Owasco woman is facing charges of criminal mischief and menacing following the investigation into a domestic incident in Owasco.
It was reported to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office that the suspect, Veruona Greene, allegedly went to the victim’s house and broke a window. It is also alleged that while Greene was outside, she made threatening comments to the victim who was inside. Greene left the scene prior to the arrival of deputies and was unable to be located. A warrant was obtained through Owasco Town Court and Greene was eventually taken into custody.
Following her arraignment in CAP Court, Greene was released to appear in Owasco Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
