The investigation into an incident on February 8th in Seneca County resulted in the arrest of a Town of Ovid woman.
It is alleged that Amanda Moshier subjected another woman to unwanted physical contact by shoving her into a chair causing it to break. Moshier then allegedly placed the victim in a chokehold resulting in the victim’s airway being obstructed and cut off from circulation.
Moshier is charged with criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing. She was sent to the Seneca County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
