An Ovid man was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, it is alleged that during a domestic incident, 42-year-old Jason Ector used a firearm to destroy property in the presence of a minor.
Ector was arrested at the Seneca County Jail and was released on an appearance ticket.
Investigators have notified members of Seneca County Child Protective Services about the incident and are working closely with them.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
