Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that deputies arrested Stewart Woodard Jr. of Ovid on the evening of December 11 in the Town of Covert following a domestic incident investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a complaint and determined that Woodard was involved in a domestic incident in the presence of three children under the age of 17. Investigators say Woodard damaged property, made physical contact with the victim, and prevented the victim from seeking emergency assistance.
Woodard was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree harassment. He was taken into custody and held pending CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
