An Oswego woman is facing multiple charges—including felony DWI—after a traffic stop in Cayuga County last week.

According to Sheriff Brian Schenck, 35-year-old Alison Davis was arrested on the evening of June 26 after a deputy pulled her over on State Route 34 near Hunter Road in the Town of Cato. The stop took place just after 8 p.m.

Deputies say Davis was found to be intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.18%—more than twice the legal limit. She was also allegedly operating the vehicle without a valid license and in an unregistered vehicle.

Davis is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, a class E felony. She also faces misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI, along with several traffic infractions, including speeding and consuming alcohol in a vehicle.

She was taken to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building for processing and held for CAP Court the following morning.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
