The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says a Town of Ontario woman has been arrested following a domestic dispute that turned physical.
Deputies were called to a home on Ontario Center Road, where they arrested 36-year-old Terri Bove. Investigators say Bove injured a male victim, damaged a computer, and violated an order of protection.
When deputies attempted to take her into custody, Bove allegedly resisted arrest and refused to follow commands. A taser was used before she was eventually secured in handcuffs.
Bove is charged with felony counts of criminal mischief and criminal contempt, along with misdemeanor counts of assault, obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest.
She was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and taken to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment. Bove is scheduled to appear in Ontario Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
