An Ontario woman was arrested Tuesday night following an investigation into a reported domestic incident, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 35-year-old Jaymi Seitz of Ridge Road in the Town of Ontario on charges of second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment.
The sheriff’s office says the arrest stemmed from an incident reported around 8 p.m. Jan. 7, during which Seitz is accused of violating a refrain-from order of protection involving a male victim. Authorities allege Seitz threatened the victim during an argument.
Seitz was taken into custody and held at the Wayne County Jail pending a centralized arraignment scheduled for 7 a.m. Jan. 8.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
