A Town of Ontario man has been arrested following an investigation into a reported assault.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested 41-year-old Charles Mceneay after responding to a disturbance. Authorities allege Mceneay cut another person with a knife during the incident, causing minor lacerations to the victim’s hand. Mceneay was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
Mceneay was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he remains after his CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
