The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says a Town of Ontario man has been arrested following a domestic incident.
Deputies charged 47-year-old Jeffrey Vandelinder with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree harassment. Investigators allege Vandelinder got into a physical altercation with the victim and grabbed her by the throat during the incident.
He was taken into custody, processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, and transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he is being held pending CAP Court on September 29th.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
