A traffic stop in Wayne County Sunday night resulted in the arrest of a town of Ontario man.
The Sheriff’s Department reports deputies pulled over a car driven by Lance Plaza-Pierce for speeding. Through the course of their investigation, deputies determined Plaza-Pierce violated a stay-away order of protection that was in effect between him and another person in the car. As deputies attempted to place Plaza-Pierce into custody, he failed to comply with multiple orders to get out of his vehicle.
After being taken into custody, Plaza-Pierce was charged with criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, and obstructing governmental administration.
Plaza-Pierce will appear in Ontario Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
