SHARE NOW

An early Sunday morning incident in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old Ontario man on a number of charges.

It is alleged that Robert Nielsen-Swartzenberg shoved a woman to the ground and proceeded to throw items at her in the presence of a child under the age of 17. It is further alleged that Nielsen-Swartzenberg did smash the victim’s phone, valued at approximately $1,800, rendering it inoperable. It is further alleged that when Deputies attempted to arrest him, Nielsen-Swartzenberg physically resisted, at which point a brief physical altercation occurred.

After being taken into custody, Nielsen-Swartzenberg was charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest, harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, and obstruction of governmental administration.

Nielsen-Swartzenberg was being held at the Wayne County Jail pending arraignment.
