The investigation into the report of a sick or intoxicated driver on East Victor Road in Victor early Sunday morning resulted in the arrest of a Victor woman.
An investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office found that Jessica Shoemaker was driving a car on a public highway while she was allegedly in an intoxicated condition. Additionally, it was discovered that the 34-year-old allegedly possessed Suboxone films, a controlled substance, without a prescription.
Shoemaker was charged with Felony DWI as she was found to have a previous DWI conviction within the last ten years.
Shoemaker was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
