On Sunday, Ontario County Deputies arrested Cassie Robinson for Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child following a domestic incident.
Officials say the investigation revealed that Robinson struck a minor in the face with an open hand, leaving a visible mark. Further review determined that the child is currently protected under an active Order of Protection issued by the New York State Family Court.
Robinson was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she is being held until a future court appearance to answer the charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
