A Farmington man has been charged with DWI under Leandra’s Law following a traffic stop early Sunday morning.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies witnessed Jonathan Delgado-Santos allegedly commit multiple traffic infractions. It was determined during the traffic stop
Delgado-Santos was driving in an intoxicated condition while having two young children under the age of ten in the car.
Delgado-Santos was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in a vehicle, driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or more, endangering the welfare of a child, avoiding an intersection, no turn signal and tinted windows.
Delgado-Santos will appear in Farmington Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
