An Ontario County man is facing charges in connection to a physical altercation that took place on New Year’s Eve.
While Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies were on scene investigating in the town of Richmond, 24-year-old Corey Frye allegedly damaged the other person’s door to their home, kicking it and ultimately knocking it off its hinges. As deputies attempted to place Frye under arrest, he resisted. After a brief struggle, Frye was taken into custody.
Frye was charged with felony criminal mischief and resisting arrest and brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
No injuries were reported as a result of the altercation.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
