The investigation into a Family Trouble incident Thursday night resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old Clifton Springs man.
Hunter North is accused of placing his hands around the neck of his victim resulting in a change of breathing. When the victim attempted to contact emergency services through a smartwatch, North prevented them from doing so by taking the watch away.
North was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal mischief and was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
