Police have arrested an Ontario County man on an identity theft charge.
Robert Mendez is accused of opening a Rochester Gas and Electric account in the victim’s name without their knowledge and maintaining the account of over one year.
Following his arrest, the 46-year-old Manchester man was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await CAP Court.
