An individual incarcerated at the Ontario County Jail is facing an assault charge.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Shakela Smith is accused of intentionally injuring another inmate at the jail.
The 27-year-old Canandaigua woman was arraigned and taken back to the jail. She is set to answer the charge at a later date in Hopewell Town Court.
