The driver involved in a Thursday morning crash on Dugway Road in the town of Bristol Thursday morning was charged with driving while intoxicated.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 35-year-old Anthony Mcdonald of Canandaigua was driving east shortly after 6 o’clock when his car left the south shoulder of the road, slid down an embankment, and struck multiple trees. Mcdonald was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested.
Deputies report they also issued traffic tickets to Mcdonald for leaving lane unsafely and having no front license plate. He was being held at the Ontario County Jail to await CAP Court proceedings.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
