A New Mexico woman suffered a leg injury after being involved in a two-car accident in Yates County.

An investigation determined that 36-year-old Ermilyn Naganag of Farmington, New Mexico allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Ferguson Corners and Middle Road in the town of Potter and struck a westbound car as it was attempting to turn left onto Middle Road. Naganag was taken by ambulance to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for her injury. She was ticketed for failure to stop.

The driver of the other car, Julie Thissell, of Waterloo, and her 14-year-old passenger, were not injured.

Assisting the Yates County Sheriff’s Office on the scene were Middlesex and Penn Yan ambulances with Rushville and Middlesex Fire Departments.
