A Mentor, Ohio, man was arrested Friday afternoon after a traffic stop in the Town of Lodi.
According to Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson, deputies stopped 57-year-old Shane Segler around 4:30 p.m. after he was allegedly speeding on Route 414 in a 30-mile-per-hour zone.
Deputies say a DWI investigation determined Segler was driving while his ability was impaired by drugs. He was taken into custody and transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center, where a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation was conducted.
Segler was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Lodi Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
