A traffic stop near the intersection of State Route 332 and Yerkes Road in the town of Canandaigua over the weekend resulted in the arrest of a Wayne County man.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department, during the course of its invesigation, deputies located a controlled substance in the pocket of 67-year-old Kevin Wilson, of North Rose.
Wilson was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as uniform traffic tickets for operating an unregistered vehicle, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, obstructed licensed plate, and no front plate. He was released to appear on a later date at the town of Canandaigua Court
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
