A joint investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and the Wayne County Department of Social Services into a fraud complaint led to the arrest of a Newark woman.
Gabriella Fioravanti is accused of receiving $5,787 in SNAP benefits she was not entitled to. The 22-year-old allegedly failed to report the income she was receiving from another individual who was living at her home.
Fioravanti was charged with welfare fraud, grand larceny, and offering a false instrument for filing, all felonies.
