Newark Woman Arrested for Stealing Car

On February 23, 2023, at 8:13 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Caitlin A. Hughey, age 36, of Newark, on an arrest warrant regarding a stolen vehicle investigation that began in July of 2022. Hughey had rented a vehicle from a local business and failed to return said vehicle in the agreed upon time. The vehicle was recovered in October of 2022. Hughey was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle 3^rd Degree, a misdemeanor. Hughey was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, to be arraigned at Centralized Arraignment Court.
