The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Newark woman on charges of obstructing governmental administration and criminal impersonation in the second degree.
Deputies say 33-year-old Angelica Alicea, of Newark, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant. Authorities allege that on July 12th, Alicea gave deputies a false name in an attempt to avoid being arrested on a warrant issued out of the City of Canandaigua.
Alicea was transported to the Wayne County Jail and has since been released.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
