The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 39-year-old Newark man following an investigation into a vehicle larceny in the Town of Lyons.
Deputies arrested Tyrone Walker Jr. on charges of petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The charges stem from a report of a larceny in progress involving a vehicle. Deputies located Walker hiding in the woods less than 100 yards from the scene and took him into custody.
Walker was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court on November 4, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
