A Newark man was arrested Tuesday at the Seneca County Jail on a bench warrant issued by the Ontario County Supreme Court.
The warrant for Darrell Wright stems from his alleged failure to appear in court to answer previous charges. Wright was arrested in March of 2024 on felony grand larceny charges for allegedly stealing a wallet with debit and credit cards inside, along with $1,000 in cash. The alleged incident happened at Finger Lakes Racino in Farmington.
The 43-year-old was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
