The investigation into a car that had driven off the road in the town of Arcadia early Wednesday morning resulted in the arrest of a Newark man.
It is alleged that Conner Collins was driving his car when he missed his turn when he attempted to turn around, left the roadway, and became stuck. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Collins was driving in an intoxicated condition. Collins was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he voluntarily submitted to a chemical test which determined his Blood Alcohol Content to be .20%
Collins was released on an appearance ticket for Arcadia Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
